To mark the occasion of the very first Irish Flower Week, Big Sky Flowers is joining forces with Conicker Farm to run a pop-up Flower Bar at the Gingerbread Café, Blackhall, Mullingar, on Saturday the 6th of July from 10.00AM to 12.00PM. What’s a flower bar you ask? Well, we haven’t entirely worked out all the details yet but, it’s, like, a bar where you buy flowers… 😆
Excellent food and drinks (including some special florally-themed ones) will be available as usual from the talented and hard-working staff of the Gingerbread Café.
And if you sign up for one of our ‘flowers for a month’ deals on the day you’ll get a 25% discount!
Irish Flower Week is about promoting locally grown cut flowers, and the people who grow them. Imported flowers = exported revenue! Plus most imports are liberally treated with pesticides during their growth, refrigerated during transport, and clock up thousands of transport miles in planes, ships and trucks to get from their point of origin. So buying from an Irish Grower is good for the local economy AND the environment.
