A hands on evening workshop, covering the essentials of compost making, including the construction of a composting solution at Water St Community Garden, Castlepollard. Many forms of composting will be discussed – e.g. pallet composters, hotlines, wormeries, bokashi and Johnson-Su Bioreactors. Participants will learn how to turn their household organic waste and garden waste into food for their soil, to nourish the microorganisms and worms, which will in turn lead to healthy plants.

There will be lots of time for questions, and even a cup of tea and some cake to facilitate the chat.

This hands-on workshop takes place on Tuesday 25th May, 6-9pm.  This course made possible thanks to funding from  Creative Westmeath.
