Celebrating our Natural Heritage as part of Heritage week – Join us for an exciting Nature Scavenger Hunt designed especially for children, as part of the Wild Child event! As summer gently transitions into autumn, the Irish countryside bursts with life and color, making it the perfect time to explore the great outdoors. This scavenger hunt will take place on the greenway near Streamstown where children can immerse themselves in nature’s beauty and discover its hidden treasures.
• Along the way, children will learn fascinating facts about local flora and fauna, the importance of biodiversity, and how to respect and protect nature.
What to Bring:
• Comfortable outdoor clothing and sturdy shoes
• A hat and sunscreen, as well as a rain jacket in case of unpredictable weather

All materials will be provided, and you’ll get lots of help. This event made possible thanks to Heritage and Biodiversity officers in Westmeath County Council

Event takes place 10:00am-11:30am  on 24th of August. We will meet at Jacks Stop on the Old Rail Trail Greenway, and explore from there.

This event is free but places are limited so booking is essential. Suitable for children aged 6+ with accompanying parent. Please list the names and ages of the children coming in the Notes section when you checkout.
