Creativity and play are at the heart of all of our workshops, and front and centre in this one. Working with fragrant and  unusual  locally grown flowers is a delight, and there will be flowers and foliage aplenty, all grown close to Mullingar, without the use of pesticides or herbicide.

On the night, Anna will bring a large selection whatever is in blooms, and will demonstrate how to arrange them to best show off their beauty.  Once participants have mastered the basics, they will select their own perfect mix of flower shapes, colour and texture and fill a jar or vase (or maybe even 2) with the botanical materials.  We’ll stop for tea and cake at some point, and get to know each other.

Generally people want to know how to grow some of the flowers that they are working with, and Anna is generous with information on how to do this.

No experience necessary – all materials will be provided, and you’ll get lots of help. This course made possible thanks to funding from  Creative Westmeath.

Course takes place in the Refill Mill, Mullingar N91 FH51 on June  12th  from 6-8pm.
